Devalaya: Know Your Temples

Service Description

Learn and explore the art and science, architecture and aesthetics, history and economics behind the Hindu temples and much more. Conducted by Shri Bharath Chandrasekaran who has recently coauthored a coffee table book "Pallavas and Chalukyas: Coopetition in Stone", based on a detailed study of the temples constructed by the mentioned dynasties of Southern India. The course is designed for 12+ year olds, and will require a weekly 1 hour class on Sundays, in addition to some reading and activity-based assignments. The parents are encouraged to join the classes along with the children.
